CATSTATION
The WWS recognized Catcollege is opened throughout the year and is situated in the middle of the most windiest beach in Lagos with a length of 7 km. Wind and waves conditions are constant the whole year. In the morning, the wind is perfect for beginners with a gently onshore breeze of force 3 bft. After lunch the wind changes to northwest offshore. During the afternoon the wind increases to force 6 bft.The flat water conditions are perfect for trapez- and speedsailing. Every year big international regattas and races took place in the bay of Lagos.
BOATS
On the catstation are Hobie Cat 16 available. The boatsmaterial is on a high maintenance level and new boats comes regularly into the boatspool.
CLASSES
The individual tutuion is based on the knowings and experience of the students. The classes will be conducted with max. 2 students on the boat. The instructor is on the leeward side and teach the catsailing. This teaching method proves oneself in the last 12 years and leads soon to success.
Waiting time and overbooking doesn't exist. The sailing times will be coordinated with the sailing guests considering their wishes and wind-/ weatherconditions.
The licenced and high motivated sailing instructors perform classes for kids, youngsters, beginners, advanced sailors, regatta sailors and special female classes. All courses can be finished with an international valid catamaran licence issued from the WWS. Perfect your technics in trapeze-, strong winds- and speedsailing and enjoy the feeling of the hobie way of life at Europe's most beautiful landscape and coast.
INSTRUCTORS
Simone starts at the age of 5 years with sailing on OPTIMIST, gains experience on keel boats and changes soon to the catamaran class. She owns all instructor licences and teach multilingual all students from beginners to advanced sailors in all age groups.
Thomas starts in schooltime with sailing. He bought his first Hobie Cat 18 and remains faithfull to this class. More than 10 years regatta eyperience in international championships, long distance races and all instructor licences are the basement for optimum educations. He leads the qualification for future sailing instructors.
REGATTATRAINING
We organize professional preparations for the next successful sailing season and support the training with daily analysis of the media recordings.
YACHTSAILING
Discover the algarve from the seaside with yachtsailing on the atlantic ocean. A river trip on the Rio Guadiana between Portugal and Spain or a city trip into the town marina of Sevilla are only two destinations, which can be organized over here on sailing yachts. SUN ODYSSEY yachts from 36' to 43' are with or without skipper available.
